Music City Touring Vans rents enclosed trailers for backline and gear out of our lot at 915 6th Ave South in Nashville. Backline is the gear that sits behind you on stage, the amps, cabinets, drum hardware, and keyboards that actually make the noise.
An enclosed trailer is a hard-sided box on wheels, with walls and a roof instead of an open flatbed, so all of it rides out of the weather and out of sight between dates.

Load-in moves faster when the gear travels together instead of split between a van, two cars, and whatever fit in a trunk. Same story at the end of the night when everyone is tired and the venue wants the dock cleared.
Between dates the load stays in the trailer. Walls and a roof mean it is out of the rain and out of view while you are parked at the hotel.
We are not going to oversell that, though. We do not advertise the trailer as secure storage, so use your own judgment about what stays on board overnight and what comes inside with you.
Our fleet is hitch-equipped and we match the right van to the trailer when you book, so the band rides in the van and the backline follows behind it. One pickup, one return, and the whole operation moves between markets together.
Our passenger Sprinters already hold roughly a 4x4x5 area of gear space inside, and a maximum of one row of seats can come out. When that is not enough room, or when you would rather not stack cabinets on top of everybody’s bags, that is what the trailer is for.

We keep two enclosed trailers, both fully insured. The 5×10 is the smaller one at $40 per day, with a loading ramp, a side door, strap-down tracks, a spare tire, a 2 inch ball and a 4-way power connection.
The 6×12 is our largest trailer at $50 per day, running dual axle with a 2 5/16 inch ball and a 7-pin connection, plus the same ramp, side door, tracks and spare. If the pack list runs long, the full detail on the largest trailer we keep is at 6×12 Enclosed Trailer Rental.
As a rough guide, the 5×10 handles a lean setup, a couple of amps, a drum kit and a few cases. The 6×12 handles a full backline with cases, merch and small production, and it is the top of what we keep.
If the pack list runs past the 6×12, call us and we will work out how to cover it. Otherwise send us the biggest case, how many of them there are, and how many people are riding, and we will confirm which one to book.
Every van and trailer we rent is fully insured, and each vehicle carries Roadside Coverage with AAA. If something goes wrong at two in the morning on I-40, do not try to fix it yourself.

Terms and requirements
For a long run, ask about Long Term Rental Discounts when you call. We offer discounted 1, 2, and 3 month rates on van rentals, plus sublease contract options.
The 5×10 is $40 per day and the 6×12 is $50 per day. Trailers are an additional charge on top of the van rental, and we do not charge mileage or stack hidden fees on the back end.
Tennessee sales and rental tax applies on top of the rental itself, and van rates are on the booking page.

The renter is financially responsible for all damages, and we keep 1 to 2 free parking spots at the lot, first come, first served.
